Boat Trip to ShiantsThe Shiant Islands are situated 11 miles east of the Scalpay Bridge and are often referred to as a 'mini St Kilda'. Pabbay The beautiful Island of Pabbay is situated within the magnificent island strewn Sound of Harris, 7.5miles South-West of Leverburgh. Once you view this lush Island at close quarters, it comes as little surprise to learn that Pabbay was once known as the 'Granary of Harris' due to high quality crops which were produced from its fertile soil. Taransay Taransay lies a little more than a mile off the west coast of Harris and is the largest of the nearby islands. With stunning golden beaches and dramatic views of Harris, Tarnasay also boasts one of the most spectacular natural sea arches in the Outer Hebrides. Click for more info >>> |

Scarp Scarp lies off the rugged and stunning North West coast of Harris, separated from the main Island by a narrow stretch of water. This quarter-mile expanse of water served as the Islanders lifeline to Harris but it could equally serve to prevent access to the outside world during the winter months, with gales preventing their boats from making the short crossing for weeks at a time.
