Discounts available for children (under 14)

Departing from Tarbert, North Harris.

This excursion involves a journey time to the Shiants of around 45 minutes, cruising out of East Loch Tarbert, under Scalpay Bridge and across the Sound of Shiant. On departing the Shiants, we shall return to Tarbert via Eilean Glas Lighthouse on Scalpay (weather permitting). The complete excursion will last aproximately 6 hours.

Upon arrival at the Shiants, passengers will be issued with a code of conduct, which must be strictly adhered to during their time ashore. This information will be issued for passengers own protection and safety whilst ashore, as well as insuring the protection of the natural wildlife on the Island. Passengers are then free to explore the island and are granted 3 hours to do so before being returning to Tarbert.

Sea Harris require a deposit of £30 per person in order to confirm your booking. In the event of us being unable to travel to the Shiants due to adverse weather conditions, deposits will be returned in full.

There are no public amenities on the Shiants Islands and passengers are asked to bear this in mind before embarking upon this journey. Passengers must ensure that they bring their own food with them for the day. Tea & Coffee will be provided aboard the Enchanted Isle free of charge.

Parts of the Shiants are very exposed and as a consequence passengers are strongly advised to dress appropriately. Warm, waterproof clothing is essential as is sturdy footwear.

Children are permitted to travel to and from the Shiants provided they are accompanied by an adult. We advise that parents/guardians give due consideration before asking a child to embark upon the journey and we would not recommend that children below the age of 10 travel. Please contact us if you require further details.

Due to the ecological fragility of the Shiants, there are very strictly no pets allowed.
