Log Book

If you've been a passenger with Sea Harris on one of our boat trips to St. Kilda or other Hebridean Islands then we'd love to have feedback from you.   If you like you can attach a picture from your trip with us and share what we think is some of the most spectacular scenery in the British Isles.  You can also pin where you're from to the Guest Map and show that St Kilda really is a international destination.

We had an absolutely brilliant day we will never forget. Calm sea and bright sunshine from start to finish, a comfy boat, an atmospheric wander round Hirta and a really interesting commentary from John about Boreray, the stacks, the birds and the amazing lives of the people who used to live here not so long ago.

Now back in Oz and reflecting on our wonderful trip. Thanks to Angus and John who organised a perfect day; sunny, glassy seas and even a celebratory glass for some newly weds on board. Thanks also to our friends Kirsty and Martin who suggested this trip to some island in the middle of the Atlantic that we'd never heard of. Bird life amazing and glad we took walking poles to fend off aggressive skuas.

A trip of a lifetime finally realised - it was fantastic. Climbed Conachair, could just make out Eubhal on North Uist. Go, if you can.
Seumas and John were great hosts, brilliant seamanship and thank-you for taking us back to Berneray!
The cool smiley is from our 12 year old, the highest accolade possible!

Excellent arrangements, persistence and seamanship by Seumas and John got us out to the Shiants and St Kilda -- both of them superb trips, especially Kilda, Boreray and the Stacs. A phenomenal experience -- go!

Thanks Seamus and John for a brilliant trip. The weather was amazing, lovely trip out, great views from up the hill; stacks and Boreray beyond description (as was the washback...) oh and a storm on the way back just to finish things off.
Thanks to Seamus' mum for the gingerbread, which tasted as good on the way back up as it did on the way down :-@
And many thanks to John for keeping us so well equipped with paper cups on the way back
Experience of a lifetime :-)))

Excellent Service. Brilliant trip worth every penny, Boreray and the stacs were just breath taking. We would also like to Thank John for his care and excellent service throughout the trip and also to Seamus mam for her ginger cake, wish I had the recipe it was delicious. Fabulous, long awaited trip to St Kilda - it more than lived up to expectations.  Seamus and John great hosts and tour guides.  The sail around Boreray and the stacs a highlight.  Congrats to Seamus' mum for the ginger cake - tea and cake rarely so welcome!
Scott says the trip well worth losing breakfast for!

Thanks for an amazing day trip to St Kilda, it could not have been any better. I took my dad, who had been there with the army some 50 years ago. Angus and John were great and very knowledgable about the islands.

Went for a day trip to St Kilda with my wife, daughter and a friend on 11th July 2011. Weather was glorious - for my daughter and friend it was the first time; for ourselves it was a return trip. Seumas and John were the perfect companions; the gingerbread the perfect touch. Brilliant trip...can't praise SeaHarris high enough for their hospitality and care.

Hi guys
Just a short note as promised to give positive feed back for the trip to St Kilda on the above date . Despite my daft wife keeping her eyes shut for the whole journey across because she felt a bit queesy, I had a blast. Everything you promise on your website, you deliver. Not only deliver but do so with humour and good grace. I thought St. Kilda was a trip people would probably do once only, but I have now a desire to go back again some time to explore the further reaches of the Island.

Big thanks for fitting our group in at short notice with a special charter, and linking us with others. Sea Harris gives a professional, skilful, friendly, and well-infomed trip, with a boat that is ideal for challenging seas and landing places.

Amazing trip to St Kilda. Perfect weather and a (relatively) flat sea, which was handy during the unscheduled stop on the outward leg for Seamus to "clean the engine"! Seamus and John were perfect hosts and willingly shared their in-depth knowledge of the islands, history and wildlife. The memories of climbing Conachair and the cruise around Boreray & the Stacs will stay with us for a lifetime. Many thanks to Seamus, John and Seamus's mum (for the lovely cake).
