Boreray, St Kilda
A St Kildan bird catching party were once stranded on the Boreray for 9 months.
Its incredible that they survived without water or shelter for so long with only raw sea birds for food.
Unbeknown to them an outbreak of smallpox had occurred on the main Island of Hiort & tragically when
rescued they returned home to find that many of their loved ones had passed away.

The Enchanted Isle
The Enchanted Isle
The Enchanted Isle is an Interceptor 42 and was built specifically for transporting up to 12 passengers
from the Isle of Harris out to St Kilda. Her excellent sea keeping at speed whilst still
retaining passenger comfort are the primary reasons an Interceptor 42 was chosen.
